Perseids Meteor Shower 2026
Perseids peak in mid-August when summer evenings are warm. NASA notes the shower is active from July to September with a sharp maximum. In 2026, check our moon calendar—August moonlight can outshine faint meteors. Lie on a blanket with a wide view to the northeast and track persistent trains after bright fireballs.
Estimated ZHR: 100 (conditions vary).
